Wellness Routine

There is no clear-cut guide on how to build up a wellness routine. See what works for you, by mixing up your daily routine, until you find what makes you happy… both physically AND emotionally! You may be taking care of one aspect, but are you taking care of both? Self-care is one of the most important ways to achieve happiness and wellness. Most people don’t always recognize just how important taking care of one’s self is. Staying healthy (both physically and emotionally) requires time, patience and dedication to yourself… treat yourself as you would treat your loved ones. Make ‘ME time’ a priority!

Eating Habits

Feed your soul by first by feeding your body! Eat clean, eat wholesomely and eat smart. It’s all about reducing processed foods and increasing fresh, healthy and organic foods. By feeding your body with the essential Nutrients and Vitamins it craves you, will start feeling positive in the way you feel and function. Needless to say, the physical benefits of eating healthy can lead to dramatic changes in energy levels, while also providing hair and skin improvement. It’s also very important for your general wellbeing.  Eating well and eating clean is the key to unlocking good health!

Product Consumption

Be mindful of your product consumption – and we don’t just mean food! Take time to think about the products you use in and around your daily life. Are they packed with chemicals? Are they necessary in your daily routine? Do they impact your health positively or negatively? Natural products are also a part of healthy living. See where it’s possible to replace the chemical ridden products in your life with natural ones – your body and mind will thank you for it! At Raw Sugar, we’re all about natural, hip & healthy products – Free of nasties like Sulfates, Parabens, and Phthalates. Plus most natural based products are safer for the environment!

Spending Time with Loved Ones

An oldie, but a goodie! Getting together with family and friends is the perfect recipe for a good time. When we bond with others, our body releases endorphins, so we are feeling happy and less stressed. Feelings of apprehension, negativity, and lack of support in relationships can lead to a decrease in our own feelings of self-worth, satisfaction and general happiness. Relationships are hard work, but that’s why they are so rewarding! Socializing and building relationships help build our internal confidence and makes us feel like we’re a part of a deep-rooted network, which is important in our everyday lives. Surround yourselves with those who make you feel good about yourself!

Being Outdoors

Yes, this can mean exercise, but it doesn’t need to be! Sometimes stepping outside during your daily routine, and taking a moment to pause, step back and appreciate mother nature, is all you need to help with your overall health. It’ll help you clear your head, which helps you to relax and enjoy the moment. Whether it’s the exposure to Vitamin D, the calm of the outdoors, or the sound of waves crashing on the shore, researchers agree that even something as simple as taking a walk in nature can significantly reduce stress.

Exercise the Mind

Keeping your mind active and stimulated is an important form of exercise that some of us tend to forget! Swap watching TV for that novel you’ve been meaning to read, replace scrolling down your newsfeed with a challenging crossword puzzle, or start a new habit that challenges you. Having an active mind works the same way as physical exercise – the more you work out the more your muscles grow! Studies show that challenging your brain on a regular basis can also help reduce the onset of Dementia and Alzheimers. It’s time to go back to school!

Deep Sleep

Give your body the rest it deserves – for your healths sake! We know that our body goes through a crucial recovery process during this time. Although sleep may come harder for some of us, try to think about ways to you can allow your body to rest. Whether this means creating an environment or routine where you allow your body to sink into a much needed deep sleep or taking some me-time, find a method that works for you, and take time out for it! At Raw Sugar, we like to pamper ourselves with a 3-step beauty regimen which includes a long and deep soak using our bath fizzers. Nothing like purifying the skin to cleanse the soul!
