7 Fruits for Healthy Skin & Hair

Posted By Cherry Thongthavikiat on September 11, 2018

Have you ever wondered where the inspiration for our healthy, organic and hydrating formulations comes from? Well, the answer is simple, it’s directly from Mother Nature. We believe in creating the very best out of what nature gives us…in the best way possible! Here are 7 of our favorite nourishing fruits that we also extract and use in our formulations:

Coconut

Coconut is one of our favorite and most essential organic extracts used in our Raw Sugar products. Coconut oil is one of the richest and most natural source of medium chain fatty acids, which means that it can help to deeply nourish and restore damaged skin and hair cells. It’s not only Coconut oil that works wonders for the skin & hair, it’s the fruit as a whole (which we extract through our ColdPressed® Technology.)

Pineapple

One of our favorite summer fruits is also one of the most beneficial, nutrient-packed sources of skin restoration. Pineapple is known as the king of tropical fruits. Not only is the delicious fruit packed full of Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and C, but it also contains healthy doses of manganese, copper, potassium, beta-carotene, folic acid, and dietary fibers! You’ll want to consume and lather yourself in it. (we know we do!)

Lemon

At Raw Sugar, we know all about the nutritional skin benefits that come from lemons (this is why our Lemon Sugar formulation is a fan favorite!) They are a great source of Vitamin C and work amazingly at improving skin brightness, while its antibacterial properties detoxes. What’s not to love!

Maqui Berry

Superfood for the skin. The Maqui Berry is considered to be one of the most antioxidant-rich fruits in the world – Maqui Berries have up to 300% more Anthocyanins and nearly 150% more Polyphenols than any other fruit or vegetable. It’s these unmatched Anthocyanins and Polyphenols levels that make the Maqui Berry powerful for healing and smoothing out the skin.

Carrot

Yes ok, it’s not a fruit but we couldn’t NOT include this often overlooked powerhouse skin healing veggie! Carrots contain many nutrients and vitamins including Vitamins A & E which promote strong and healthy hair growth and also works amazingly in scalp hydration (don’t forget about the skin that is not always visible). Packed with goodness, carrot oil also helps protect hair from environmental damages like sunlight.

Mango

Here at Raw Sugar, we love mangos! We incorporate them in our healthy and wholesome skincare routine! It has an abundance of nutritional properties, like the heavy dosage of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, antioxidants and more. Mangos are an amazing fruit that promotes collagen production, while also smoothing and hydrating skin along the way!

Avocado

You don’t need to turn your life upside down to help your hair grow faster. Avocados are high in Vitamins B and E, which work at the cellular level to protect and strengthen hair. Vitamin E helps repair damage on the scalp, (which may slow or prevent hair growth) while Vitamin B helps to boost hair growth. Overall, this superfood a rich source of proteins, amino acids, and vitamins that’ll help soothe the scalp and promote long, strong, healthy hair.

The best part? Raw Sugar uses all these ingredients in our skin and hair care products! Just look for the White Bottles & Bamboo Tops.
